How do I create a CookieOfficer account?
Find out how to sign up and what you need to start using the tool.
Registering with CookieOfficer is quick and simple - you don't need to enter payment card details or get help from a developer. It takes only a few steps to create an account. Remember that accepting the Terms of Service also means entering into a data processing agreement, and that confirming your email address starts the trial period. Here are the detailed instructions:
What should you prepare before registering?
All you need is an active email address - ideally a company one, because important notifications and service messages will be sent to it. You don't need to have a payment card, access to your site's code or a list of cookies to hand.
How do I create an account?
Step 1: Go to app.cookieofficer.com and click the “Create an account” button. You can also get to registration by clicking “Start free” or “Sign in” on the cookieofficer.com website.

Step 2: Fill in three fields: your work email address, your website (e.g. yourcompany.com) and a password, or sign up with your Google account.
If you choose to sign in with Google, we'll automatically receive your email address, your full name and your account ID - you don't need to set a password in CookieOfficer.
Step 3: Accept the Terms of Service and the other documents.
Step 4: Click the confirmation link that we'll send to the email address you provided.
Step 5: Go through the wizard, which will help you configure the basic settings.
What does accepting the Terms of Service mean?
By creating an account and accepting the Terms of Service, you enter into an agreement with Data Wolves. At the same time, you also accept the Data Processing Agreement (DPA), which is an annex to the Terms of Service. In this agreement you act as the controller of the data of the people who visit your website, and we act as the processor. You don't need to sign any additional documents - everything happens automatically.
Important: an account is created by a specific person, but the party to the agreement is usually a company. You'll fill in your invoice details, including the VAT ID (NIP), later in the “Account” section, before your first payment.
Why is confirming your email address so important?
The trial period (14 days) starts counting only from the moment you confirm your email address - not from the moment you fill in the form. It ends exactly 14 days later.
What should you do if the confirmation email hasn't arrived?
- On the “Confirm your email address” screen, click “Send the link again”. You'll be able to send another email after 60 seconds.
- Check your spam folder - messages sometimes end up there.
- Make sure there is no typo in your email address. After registering, you'll see which address we sent the message to.
- If you use a company mailbox with an advanced spam filter, ask your IT department to add our sender address to the trusted senders.
- If none of the above works, write to us at
contact@cookieofficer.com- we'll help you solve the problem.
What mistakes should you avoid when registering?
- Don't create an account with an email address you can't access. Without confirmation, the account won't be set up correctly.
- Don't create a second account to extend your trial period. The period is counted by email address, not by account.
- If you've received an invitation to a team, register with the same email address that was in the invitation. Otherwise, instead of getting access to the team's projects, you'll create a separate, empty account.
Remember that registering correctly and confirming your address is the key to making full use of CookieOfficer's features.
